The figure coming out of the mist was a large person. Now, he was clear. He was tall, long dark hair, and piercing eyes. He was gazing at her with vivid interest. She was dumbstruck! This couldn't be happening. How was this possible? He was wearing a kilt. As he walked towards her, she was backing up in amazement. He spoke, "Who are you and what are you doing on my land?" She was amazed. She could understand him perfectly. She stuttered, "I am so sorry, I must have gotten lost in the mist. I thought I was in the Bed and Breakfast's back yard." He looked quizzical? Wow! She was in an airplane and about to land in the U.K. Her plans were set to met her friend for dinner. As she slowly made it through cutoms, her mind was far away and filled with mist. So, did she dare to dream and take a foolish chance on that walk in the highland mist? She made it through customs, and joined her group for the trip to the hotel. She received her travel plans. She was so excited. She was finally going. She had spent her life living for others, and now, she was doing some living for herself. She was getting on a plane and going across the ocean. It was a cool, foggy morning, and the droplets of mist were mixing with her tears. She stood in the breaking dawn trying to do her morning routein, but she just couldn't focus. "Why? Oh! Why? Did he just keep doing the same old thing?" She had talked. She had yelled. She had ignored. NOW! She was done. But, it was so hard. She had invested so much of herself in this. She really wished real life could be like her favorite stories. The hero would walk out the mist, sweep her into his arms, and he would take her away to a life of love and cherishing. A tired woman and her excited little boy step off the ship. He looks around and says,"Oh, momma, this is America!" A young boy runs home clutching a loaf of bread that he earned. He cried excitedly, "Look, momma, what America gives to me!" A sad young man stands by small grave. An old man looks out of his window from his plush office onto a a beautiful cityscape. Another anniversary at work. She really hated this day. Her husband never thought to do anything, and she had long ago given up. The night was steady. It was time for lunch, but she really wasn't hungry. However, her co-workers were encouraging her to go and to go now. How odd? So, she headed down to pick up some food and come back to the break room. However, when she got down to the cafeteria, her husband was standing there holding a balloon boquet. Then he lead her to the tables where he had a picnic set up. The table had a cloth on it, some candle were lit, and all her favorite foods were present including chocolate for dessert.

Sad News

Well, I can finally talk about it.  The dog pictured with me in my profile picture.  My beloved - Remi - died suddenly 3 weeks ago.  I am so lost without him.  I hate walking in the mornings alone, and I miss  him beside my bed.  So, This is an ode to my beloved missing dog. I miss you, Remi!! :crying: and :crying:

Summer Fun

I just had the most amazing vacation!  I spent 3 days and 3 nights in Dale Hollow, KY.  A friend/co worker has a home down there and a pontoon boat.  (it is actually her parents, but they let us stay:)  There was drinking, laughing, and general fun in the sun.  I got burnt and had a blast.  I jumped off a cliff and spent hours in the water.  I hope I can go back next year. I would post pictures, but I promised that what happened in Dale Hollow stayed in Dale Hollow.    However, I will just say that Kaluha Mudslide mix is awesome in coffee. :blowkiss: and :wave:    Talk soon!!  :squee: and  :)

It has been long Time !!!

Work has been crazy!!  We have had 100 degree heat several days in a row and I can't remember the last time we had real rain.  My yard it brown and crunchy!! I don't think grass is  is suppose to be crunchy.  However, I have been a really good girl on watering my container garden and we will be having fresh tomatoes with tomorrow night's dinner.  :grin:  I am hoping my jalepeno peppers will start growing.  Then I can make fresh salsa. Today, we are having a cold snap.  It was only in the 80's.  :squee: Well, I am off to check out all of my deviant friends.  Hope to hear from some of them soon. :hug: and :kiss: and :wave: Teri
